I have messed about on boats all my life mainly inland and inshore and had no idea that there were lifeboats other than the RNLI  until I joined SARA. I have been a member for nearly 6 years, part of the management for 5 and a trustee for 3. As an organisation with 50 years history and over 200 volunteers I felt that we should be more involved with NILA, hence my becoming a trustee.

I live in Gloucestershire and I am semi retired from the motor trade after 40 yeears in several management positions.

I enjoy anything on the water, motor racing and cooking, though not all at the same time. My wife would like to thank all of you for taking me off her hands and out of the house!
